The Eragon Fanfiction Wiki is a collaborative website about the Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini. The Wiki is a site that anyone can edit. Of course, we have some rules around here, just like any other Wiki.
Rules
All the rules listed here count for anything that you do around the wiki.
No flaming/trolling. If you do, you will be subjected to a one-week ban or even a permanent ban. But seriously, why join a Wiki if all you're gonna do is make everybody angry? Constructive criticism is allowed to an extent, but don't go overboard with it, or else it might count as flaming.
No spamming.
No sockpuppeting, which means abusing multiple accounts or using them to evade a ban. You are allowed to have multiple accounts, but you can't vote for yourself or any of that crap. Of course, you have to say that you have that extra account in your userpage, because you wanted a new username, etc.
No plagiarism.
No editing of other people's pages without their permission. This applies
to anything that you do (adding categories to a page)
Swearing is allowed, but only to an extent. You may also rate your stories, from PG all the way to M.
No excessively violent scenes. This is also a rickety subject, as the books contained a fair amount of blood and gore. (i.e Roran smashing people's skulls in Eldest with his hammer) Since the Inheritance Cycle's timeline is set somehwhere in the medieval time, modern weapons were not yet discovered, and people used all kinds of sharp weaponry to disembowel, decapitate, dismember, and destroy their enemies. If your character say cuts someone's head off or stabs someone in the throat, it is allowed, but if that said character starts to tear his enemies' limbs off with his bare hands and starts pulling out the spines of his enemies, that is not allowed. Nothing mentally traumatizing is allowed either. (I won't even elaborate on this one, but you know what I mean)
No pornography or scenes of a sexual nature are allowed. The books were considered to be for a more older audience, say 13+, but that doesn't mean we are going to allow any lemons (pornfic, smut, sex story) in this Wiki. If you write these kinds of stuff, do it somewhere else. As I stated before, violence of a mature manner is allowed, but do not go overboard, or your story or the parts of the story with these kinds of things will be removed.
No posting pictures of yourself, friends, or family, or giving out your whole name. Come on guys. This is a sight for fanfiction, not for socializing. Sure, you can talk and chat with other users, but just think; there might be some creepy guy stalker lurking around the wiki that might have an interest in where you live, so it's best to keep your anonymity as a firstname or even just your username. No posting of your real adress, but putting your country is fine.

December 27, 2011 - This wiki is created. I've already posted the rules up there and I'll try to get some users to join through the Inheriwiki. Alittlebitofcyanide 02:51, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
